about me
Hi, I’m Amy - a registered Nutritional Therapist (BSc, DipION, mBANT, CNHC) based in St Albans, Hertfordshire where I live with my family and run a clinic working with clients both online and also in person.
I feel passionate about the power of nutrition and lifestyle to transform and support our physical and mental health and I love working with clients to help them on this journey.
Nutrition has been an important part of my life since my late twenties, when I began struggling with my health and couldn’t seem to find answers. Everything changed when I came across an article about how different foods can support different aspects of our health. It sparked a journey of learning and research, and I began discovering how changes to my diet and lifestyle could help me feel better and support my overall wellbeing.
It was a real lightbulb moment, and from then on I was hooked. I decided to retrain as a nutritional therapist at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition so that I could deepen my understanding and help others feel better too.
I continue to learn every day as nutritional science evolves and we discover more and more about the relationship between diet, gut health and overall wellbeing. My aim is to support people in understanding their own bodies so they can begin to piece together their health story and feel stronger, clearer and more in control again.
I believe in balance, not perfection. You do not have to get everything right all of the time. Life can be challenging, especially when you are not feeling your best.
Nutrition has supported me personally through IBS, pregnancy, miscarriage, birth, raising my children, and now perimenopause — a stage of life where gut health and hormones are so closely connected.
I do not believe in shaming, fear-based messaging, or completely overhauling someone’s life overnight. Instead, I meet you where you are and support you in making realistic, sustainable changes at your own pace.
